Project Overview
The Temple of Together Documentary explores the creation of a sacred, immersive space designed to foster unity, healing, and collective transformation. Rooted in the belief that community connection can be a powerful catalyst for change, the film follows the visionaries, artists, and participants who shaped this experiential sanctuary. Through intimate storytelling, evocative imagery, and meaningful conversations, the project illuminates what it means to gather with intention and rebuild our sense of togetherness. This documentary serves as both an artistic expression and a call to reimagine how we heal, both individually and as a community.

Temple of Together Documentary
Why This Story Is Important

We are increasingly disconnected from unity as a society. In a time of global conflict and ecological crisis, we’ve lost touch with the sacred, the simple, and the act of building in harmony with the Earth. This documentary follows the creation of a temple built entirely by volunteers—designed to burn, and to leave no trace. Rooted in radical sustainability and shared purpose, the project reminds us that when we put aside ego and difference and root our action in shared purpose we can create beauty that honors both community and planet. As partisanship and climate anxiety rise, this message has never been more urgent.

A tale of co-creation, The Temple of Together, follows the construction and short life of Burning Man’s great Temple-- the largest and most ephemeral public art Instsallation in the world: a living symbol of impermanence, ecological responsibility, and radical care. Designer Caroline Ghosn, hundreds of volunteers and over 75,000 “Burners” unite on the playa as they cultivate connection, and are transformed by the mighty flames which engulf the Temple only one week after it is erected, returning it to ash.
